Dr. Jonathan Levy

I combine my work as lawyer and solicitor with a PhD .  My practice concentrates on international law, money laundering, asset recovery and related fields. I am on the faculty at two graduate schools and instruct courses in law and terrorism..

I am the Acting Attorney General of the Republic of Cabinda also known as the former Portuguese Congo. Cabinda has filed a complaint against Angola that will be heard by the African Union’s Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights in Banjul, Gambia.  Some other “hot cases” I am working on include a long standing class action against the Vatican Bank for return of Second World War era assets and as consultant for the defense team of a well known war crimes defendant at one of The Hague tribunals. 

With a varied background and a unique skill set, I am always looking for opportunities and new challenges.  No case is too small or too big and certainly not too controversial.
