I had experienced working with two other elder attorneys, unsuccessfully, prior to having been referred to Claudia Salazar . She is extremely knowledgeable ,persistent and caring . She knew exactly what my parents needs were and what needed to be accomplished. I have recommended her to friends and family.
I have worked with Claudia for a number of years on both Elder Care and Estate planning issues. Claudia is compassionate, knowledgable, responsive, and very trustworthy. She is also very thorough and detail orientated and she will fight to protect you. Claudia kept me aware of my rights, kept me informed of changes in the law and the status of those changes, and offered me options. She is a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend her services.
I met with Claudia Salazar on the recommendation from another attorney about the status of my mother's legal applications and to try to receive help finalizing some decisions with the government. I was very disheartened up to the point of dealing with the sickness of my mom, on top of the the legal aspects of her final preparations, before I met with her. I sat with her for about an hour and showed her mounds of paperwork: asset paperwork, returned documents and copies of previously asked for documents. She told me to try and relax as it is overwhelming for anyone to go through this ordeal without anything else complicating it. She took the documents and began to go through everything and make sure she had a comprehensive understanding of my mother's case. She would email or call if she had questions and walked me through the entire process. She began the contact with my mother's case worker and found she needed a few things from me regarding paperwork. Once again she walked me through the next aspect and communicated with me for the entire time of the process. Once she got a chance to speak with Medicaid, they were able to resolve the entire case within a matter of months. She called me to explain what paperwork I would be receiving in the mail and what the final steps would be to satisfy the governemt.
The entire process took a little over 3 months, and to think we had been working on her paperwork for nearly a year before we started working with her. I would highly recommend her because she will stay in communication with you through the entire process. Unfortunately when we are in these situations we want to make sure everything is being take care of, while we are taking care of someone else.
