I was assigned 6 month probation and successfully completed it. I was informed that the offense would be expunged upon completion of my probation. The court document "order affecting community supervision reads" : today the period of community supervision expires, accordingly, the court orders the proceedings against the defendant dismissed and defendant discharged from supervision. I believe that would be self explanatory, however, my recent employers background check was able to locate the offense. Hence, my confusion. Would I have to consult legal council to have it expunged or as I was informed it was expunged upon completion?
