I have 3 daughters with my current wife and a boy and girl with my ex-wife, I make roughly 1400 every two weeks: I need help figuring out how much I should be paying in child support. I am a father struggling to keep my current family together without loosing our home, car, or electricity.
Shannon’s answer: If you go to the Texas Attorney General website (www.oag.state.tx.us) there is a child support calculator. If you cannot find it on the website, you may want to do a google search to find it. You will be able to enter your information and see roughly how much you would need to pay. Please note that you need to use your gross income numbers (before taxes) and if you provide medical insurance for any of the children, that is a factor as well. In the last box on the form, you need to put some number, I normally put in a 1, but it doesn't effect the outcome. If you have 3 children at home and are supporting two other, you are looking at paying 19% of your net income in child support.
License has been suspended due to DWLI until 2-23-13. What is the cost to obtain a occupational drivers license?: Only have six months left of suspendition
Shannon’s answer: Unfortunately, this isn't a question that can be answered with any certainty here. The amounts charged by firms for an occupational license aren't uniform across the state. A criminal defense attorney is your best bet. You may be able to find an office that offers a free initial consultation; you would be able to learn their prices for an occupational license, as well as the process, and it wouldn't cost you anything up front.
