How long does it take to settle a simple estate : My father passed away. There is only me and my sister as heirs. His estate is to be split 50/50. This is in the state of ohio. We are not fighting anything and he had no bills.

Daryle’s answer: In general, there are usually three phases to administering an estate. 1)Opening of the estate, 2) collection and liquidation of the assets, and 3) distribution of assets and closing the estate. As another attorney mentioned, you may be able to do a relief from administration in this case, which will conflate the second step into the other two; however, in general, the process is still the same. The length of time will depend upon your personal pace and the pace of anyone you are working with.

How can I reclaim accounts that I have personally signed in 2007: I found out that I had money being held by federal reserve I was told at the time until I made a claim they could only allow me to sign all accounts

Daryle’s answer: I think you haven't received any answers to this question because there is no enough information to answer it. If you are asking how to claim federal unclaimed funds, you need to go to https://www.usa.gov/unclaimed-money and they have specific instructions on the website.
