Received appointment notice for biometrics on August 14, 2019
Biometrics appointment on September 6, 2019
Denial notice DATED September 30, 2019
CANNOT understand the reasoning.

Yolanda’s answer: Assuming that you did not receive a decision yet about your asylum application, you do not have a legal status as asylum applicant . In oder to adjust within the USA , you need to be in legal nonimmigrant status or be a spouse of US citizen . Asylum applicant is not a legal status .
How long the process of I-130 and I-485 will take time?:
Hi, I have question on the processing time of the I-130 and I-485 which I submitted together through my USA husband.
I submitted everything in Oct 2018. And the website shows I-485 for Columbus takes 12 Months to 23 Months. However, I read it hear that the processing time for similar case from Columbus took only 4-5 months.
Would you please guide me how should I calculate and estimate the processing time?
And interview will be at the same day as we get our I-485 approval?

Yolanda’s answer: Processing times in the USCIS website are just estimated times . It is not unusual nowadays to see an adjustment status case take more than 6 months . I will suggest that you place a case status inquiry in USCIS website if you believe that your case is out of regular time or secure an appointment to the Columbus field office through info pass. However a smart move in order to prevent unnecessary delays will be to retain the service of an experienced attorney to review and follow up your case . Best !
