Would a B1 B2 visa get canceled as they withdraw the assylum case?: A friend was coming to visit, but got detained in the airport due to the fact that she was carrying all his important documents because it wasnt safe to leave them back at home, immediately CBP assumed he was intending to stay in the U.S., but he was just coming to visit for a few weeks because he had to go back to her country to finish his university. He was tricked into signing assylum papers, and have now detained him in detention center, he withdrew his case, but now we fear that they might cancel his visa? What can we do?
Nikki's answer: Consult with an immigration attorney. More information is required.
Citizenship after receiving food stamps: I have been resident of the United States for ten years. Just got a divorce and became a single mother all of the sudden. I have been forced to apply for food stamps and ACCHS since my ex-husband is not paying the child support and alimony that was ordered by the judge, my credit is ruined as well. Will this 2 facts : the food stamps and my bad credit prevent me from getting my citizenship? My residency will expire in 2014, I am studying a new career and will graduate in 2014 as well. Should I wait until then to apply? Thank you very much!
Nikki's answer: I agree with my colleagues.
