Forced to clean workplace with bleach?: The high concentration of bleach we use to clean the walls floor and ceiling are making my eyes burn, making me sneeze and I have problems breathing. I end up having to call in sick because the cleaning of the building makes me ill.

Nikki’s answer: It can still be a Work Injury. I have had a case like this before and the worker started having asthma and she had to start on medication. See a pulmonologist. Consult with an experienced Workers’ Compensation attorney.

Can I still change attorney after case has settled?: My workers comp case has settled. From what I was told. That was exactly a month ago. I signed the last paper work to get the check. I haven't been contacted by the the attorney since. I sent a e-mail to his paralegal, still nothing. That was 2 weeks ago. I just recently found out that he is not in the calbar.ca.gov/

I think I need to change attorney. Should I contact the adjuster directly and tell him to hold any check/payout for the time being?

Nikki’s answer: Do you have a copy of what you signed? If yes, make an appointment with an experienced workers' compensation attorney and have him/her review the documents immediately.
