How long does it take auto insurer to hire an attorney to represent me in Florida car accident.: I’m being sued due to insurer refusing to pay 3rd party claim. Sent summons package to insurer immediately, promised an attorney. Have heard nothing. Text to claim adjuster, nothing. I am upset because she rear ended me, now claiming negligence, bodily injury, but no attorney. Called 5 attorneys and none wanted the case because of insurer supposed to handle it. Please advise, I’m desperate.

David’s answer: You need to file an Answer to the lawsuit within 20 days of service. Normally the insurance company will hire a defense lawyer within days of receiving a lawsuit package from its insured. Some insurance companies are better than others. If you cant get your adjuster on the phone call and ask for the supervisor that normally gets things moving.

Can I sue the city for me falling and break my foot due to crack in the skatepark ?: I have evidence of the crack in the ground and also my x rays of my foot

David’s answer: You may have a case if the City and/or company responsible for its maintenance knew or should have known of the defect. Were there prior incidents there? Do you have photos or video of the defect? You will want to share those photos/video with an experienced personal injury attorney.

What would my case be worth?: I was side swiped by a semi last year, I have 4 herniated discs in my neck now have had to have surgery for a spinal fusion. After everything I 've been through with this, will compensation be enough??

David’s answer: That is a great question and can only be answered if you were to let us know how much bodily injury coverage the other car driver has and whether you have uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage and if so in what amount. Can you post these amounts?
