How can I find out if my husband has has formal charges placed ?: Kenneth Sims was arrested December 26th with F3 driving on a suspended. He has yet been seen in front of a judge. It has been over 40 days and still incarcerated. How do we find out if he has been formally charged? Public defender has not returned any of my calls.

Yekaterina’s answer: Your question indicated that you are in Jacksonville, you can go to https://core.duvalclerk.com/ and set up a free account, where you can track the whole case. If he was formally charged by the state attorney's office, the filing document called "Information" would have been filed. I hope this helps.

I received my first notice of a red light camera ticket from August 10, 2021. Do I have a good chance of getting it dismissed?: I received my first notice of the red light camera ticket dated back to 08/10/21–7 months ago. I would like to check the box to request a hearing. I have a squeaky clean record. Never received a ticket, except once over 15 years ago when I just so happen to be driving without my license on me. I brought my license to the courthouse and paid the $10 dismissal fee. But other than that, never received a ticket since then or have any type or charges/points on my license. It was so long ago, I don’t even remember if I was the one driving since I am a cautious and safe driver and running a blatant red light just isn’t something I would risk. Do I have a good chance or getting it dismissed it I check the box for a hearing?

Yekaterina’s answer: You maybe out of time to challenge the ticket. These tickets do not carry points. If you were driving, i am not sure what your defense is going to be.

If you get suspended twice at the same time for two different offenses do the suspensions overlap?: So, I got arrested while driving on my BPO license. Got charged with 3 things, BPO violation, 2nd refusal and DUI all at the same time. My lawyer said the 2nd refusal will be 18 month suspension since day of arrest and the BPO violation also comes with a 6 month suspension, does this means it adds up and I can’t drive for 24 months? Or do these suspensions over lap and in 18 months I can drive?

Yekaterina’s answer: It depends on when the suspensions hit your driver license. Technically if it’s at the same time they should run concurrently not consecutively.
