I'm being sued for custody of my son. Upon his birth I signed the paternity acknowledgement form and the birth certificate...: My son's mother and I are not married and are both being sued by my parents and her grandmother for custody of my son. My folks filed suite first and my sons mothers grandma filed a counter or intervening motion for full sole custody and stated in writing that the mother and I are drug addicts. AZ if that was not enough today I received an update to the grandma's initial suite that states they want me to take a paternity test now. I spoke to my son's mother today and we both agreed upon signing athe voluntary acknowledgement forms we also discussed getting married by a justice of the peace would that option help us and retaining custoday of our son and would it establish legitimation as well?

How do I find out if my daughter was legitimized?: My daughter is almost 4 and her father and I have recently split up. He and I were never married. His name is on her birth certificate but I am not sure if he legitimized her. We signed alot of papers at the hospital and Im not sure if that form was one of them. Jennifer’s answer: You should contact the Department of Vital Records to determine if there was an Acknowledgment filed along with the birth certificate. I'm unsure of the exact process, but they should be able to assist you.
I missed my uncontested divorce hearing, but would like to appeal for alimony, and receive payment for mortgage payments made?: Uncontested divorce that I was not informed of the court date, therefore missing the court date. I would like to contest for mortgage payments I contributed to. Also I cooked cleaned ,and served my husband faithfully for 23 years, and he only agrees to allow me to keep a 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe that is broke down. I think I deserve more than a vehicle that I helped pay for anyway.

If you missed a court date, the Court may have dismissed the petition for divorce (if you filed) or granted the divorce in your absence (if he filed). You should first check with the court to determine the status of your case.
