John’s answer: That is too vague a question. Both the girl and the boy could be open to liability depending on what was sent. Give a local lawyer a call. Depending on what was sent back and forth it could be very serious charges. Sexy talk, maybe not, sexy pictures, that’s not good. Seek counsel.

John’s answer: It depends if he took a plea with a specific sentence or if he got sentenced by the judge. The basic rule is it has been less than. 21 days or if he still locally held (he hasn’t gone to DOC) he can move for a motion to reconsider. But he would need to speak with a lawyer to see if that is even worth trying.

Charged with probation violation. I was put on 2 years probation for a charge from back in 3/2018. 1/6/2020 I was sentenced to 3 months in danville city jail. I live in harrisonburg, va so I had my probation transferred to rockingham county, harrisonburg virginia. I failed a urine screen on 3/6/2020 at the initial orientation for probation. My p.o in Harrisonburg said that danville was going to take me back to court on a show cause but it wouldn't be a capeous. I checked online every day to see if I had court and on 4/1/2020 I saw there was a capeous out for me in danville. I tried to turn myself in here in harrisonburg but due to covid and me being sick and asthmatic, the jail here wouldn't take me in. I'm doing substance abuse video classes through our probation office, I'm taking online classes through liberty university, I'm a single mother, I'm in counseling as well and seeing psychiatrist for mental health meds. I'm on a GPS ankle monitor through probation in harrisonburg.
John’s answer: You cannot stop an arrest warrant except for very unusual circumstances. The only way to deal with it is to turn yourself in and let the process start. You may speed up a resolution if you have a lawyer ready to help, maybe.
