How many months or years does a parent a have to be absent form the childs life before the parent's rights are terminated?: My daughters father have not seen her in 7 months

Asked over 13 years ago in Family

Bradley’s answer: I agree with my colleague above. However, an attorney would need additional information on your particular case in order to give you a better idea of your particular rights. There are some specific questions that should be asked/answered.

Additionally, if parental rights are at stake you should speak with a qualified local family law attorney with experience in handling these issues.

Our firm handles such cases and offers free consultations on such matters.

Bradley’s answer: My first advice is to no longer post specifics of your husband's criminal matter online or in any social media format.

Secondly, you need to speak to a qualified local criminal attorney. Such an attorney will look at the charges, docket and record to see the intricacies of the case.

Our office handles such matters. We offer free consultations.

What to do - Public Drunkenness in Philadelphia PA: I was at a work party smoking a cigarette out back in the alley with about 5 other people when cops pulled up and claimed they smelled " the scent of marijuana". NOBODY was smoking, we were just having a cigarette. I had a couple drinks, but was not in danger of hurting anyone or myself, and was never breathalyzed. When the cops searched us and found nothing on anyone they proceeded to take down our information, so I asked the cops what was going on. I was completely cooperative and provided them with all the information and anything i could, however, they seemed to think by asking what was going on that i was being uncooperative. Next thing i know i was being put in handcuffs and taken to the station for the next couple of hours to be charged with public drunkenness. What should i do?

Bradley’s answer: You need to meet with a qualified local criminal attorney in the City that is familiar with these cases. We would need to see the police report to get a better idea of the cause for the arrest and charges.

I would strongly suggest that you no longer post information about your case online or in any social media forum as it can be used against you.

Our office provides a free consultation.
