There's investigation that has to be done to ensure that what the doctor did departed from acceptable medical practice. Do I need a lawyer?: I received a letter from the DOJ of southern district of NY, in regards to being a "witness" involving my prior Employer, a hospital. They will not provide me with details, asked that I do not contact my prior employer. they want to have a tele conference with me. Do I need a lawyer. I asked them that question and they replied only if I want, and wont put anything in writing. I was thinking just to enter into conversation. but shut it down if I feel it may incriminate me. The employment was over many years and ended over 3 yrs ago. I do not feel I have any criminal wrongdoing
