What can I do if the other driver lied, and he may have relatives at the PD?: My car was t-boned at my rear d/s door while sb on a 2way main street by a car that had made a left turn coming wb from a 1way side street through opposite traffic. His front bumper was crushed inwards and he had a bit of damage to his pass. fender at the bumper (but not enough to break the turning lamp). We exchanged info, he admitted fault and we drove away. I lived a couple blocks away, and the first thing I did was call my insurance. He got to the police station before I did (my car wasn't exaclty cooperating), and lied, saying that we were both on the main and I sideswiped him. The police refused to take my statement, telling me they can only accept one version. My first time in accident, his insurance refuses to pay.

Nima's answer: Your best course of action here, if you were not personally injured, is to let your insurance company take care of your damages. You will have to pay your deductible. But once all is said and done, your insurance will go after the other driver and if they collect from him, you will get your deductible back. I hope this helps-

Nima's answer: Not only you may file a claim against the person who punched you, if that person was drinking in the bar and was intoxicated when he punched you, you may also have a claim against the bar and the bar owner and the property owner where the bar is. You should speak with a personal injury attorney immediately. I hope this helps

Remove from black line in 6 months?: I am the Plaintiff in a lawsuit for an injury sustained during a fall at a college in 2009, broke my foot very bad. It is still going on - but what does remove from black line in 6 months mean? I believe we are supposed to go to trial maybe?

Nima's answer: Your attorney should be able to explain to you what that means. If you do not have an attorney, at the very least you should contact the clerk of the court and find out where your case is pending and when is the next court date and in which courtroom. I hope this helps-
