They said I crushed meds and inhaled it, I did not inhale my medication. They jumped out of their unmarked cars pulled me pulled me out and said where is the coke, I said what, they found meds in my pocket that are mine that I took for my day and next day. They wanted to then use me as a ci, I said ok I know everyone at my work sells weed and does coke but that's it I dont do it. They never read miranda. They let me go no blood test or breath and let me drive home. I co tactsd them to give them a co tact name and number to make a buy but never heard from them again. I do have misdemeanors from years ago in NY. Mayne 7 yrs ago. Meds are mine have all the proof needed.

Because this is a New Jersey State Police Case, there will be dash cam video recording of the incident. My suggestion is to hire an attorney who can handle this case on your behalf and pressure the Prosecution to release the reports and videos. These are both third degree indictable matters which could result in State Prison as well as fines in excess of $200,000.00.

Can I keep my PA license if my NJ license was suspended for DUI?: I had 2 licenses one in NJ and one in PA. My NJ license got revoked for DUI conviction Can I still drive in PA with my PA license? Douglas’s answer: The NJ MVC will report the DWI conviction to Penn DOT. Depending on the facts of your case (number of offenses, BAC, etc.) Penn DOT may and very likely will suspend your PA license. Until Penn Dot does that, you can drive in PA and any other state, EXCEPT NJ, while using your PA license. You are not allowed to drive in NJ until your NJ privileges have been restored. That means, all your fines paid, your attendance at the IDRC and any after care, the expiration of the suspension period and your payment of the NJ MVC restoration fee. IF YOU DRIVE IN NJ BEFORE YOUR PRIVILEGES ARE RESTORED, YOU ARE FACING ENHANCED PENALTIES INCLUDING MANDATORY JAIL!

Douglas’s answer: I agree with everyone else in this matter. You need to immediately hire an attorney to evaluate your case and determine what your best defense may be. As one answer indicated, there is a diversionary program available for first time offenders, but based upon your statements, I do not have enough information to determine if you would be eligible for that diversionary program. Depending on your charges and circumstances, you could be looking at a license suspension of up to two years and three months plus thousands in fines, state assessments, DWI surcharges and court costs so taking advantage of a free consultation with an experienced attorney, and if possible, retaining that attorney will be your best chance here.
