About Me

Amy joined Elder Law Group PLLC in 2015. Amy grew up in Spokane, where she attended North Central High School, Eastern Washington University, and Gonzaga University School of Law. After several years in the Seattle area she returned to her hometown to work in the areas of Elder Law, Estate Planning and Probate. Amy brings a unique compassion to her work from experiencing the decline of her mother with dementia until her death in 2010 and her father after a debilitating stroke in 2011, followed by his death in 2012.

Amy has strong ties to Spokane and North Idaho.  When she is not in the office, she is usually with her husband, Bruce, her daughter, Maggie, and her little brown dog, Willoughby.  If the sun is out, they are probably up at Lake Pend Oreille.

  • Jennifer Hedges Ballantyne

In Elder Law, Amy is a great example of a person with many years of legal experience honed by personal experience with the challenges of aging as her family grappled with the decline of her own parents' health and the increase in their long-term care needs. Amy has devoted much of her practice to helping families plan their estates. She is also skilled in helping families with the issues of post-death administration, including probate, at what is often a difficult time.
