About Me

I take a personal interest in my clients' cases and try to get them the best results at an affordable cost.  I've been practicing law for over 23 years and know what I'm doing!  :)

I was born and raised in Spokane, but lived in the Seattle and Los Angeles areas for school.  I have been married 29+ years and have 3 children.  I graduated from the University of Washington and Pepperdine University School of Law.

I am involved in the community through the Spokane County Bar Association Volunteer Lawyer's Program, The Martin Luther King, Jr. Family Outreach Center, Summit Ridge Christian Fellowship, YMCA and City Gate Spokane, helping low-income families with legal services, food and shelter.

I have also been involved with Habitat for Humanity, Generation Alive and similar social service organizations.  This involvement has led me to travel throughout the country on various aid trips and internationally to China and Mexico.

  1. Admonition

An admonition means an attorney did something wrong but may still practice law. The Bar gives the lawyer an admonition in hopes that he or she will not repeat the behavior.

  2. Admonition
    issued in WA, 2013

    updated

An admonition means an attorney did something wrong but may still practice law. The Bar gives the lawyer an admonition in hopes that he or she will not repeat the behavior.

Michael’s comment: “Definition of ADMONITION: 1: gentle or friendly reproof 2: counsel or warning against fault or oversight. "Admonition." Merriam-Webster.com. Merriam-Webster, n.d. Web. 11 Sept. 2013. This related to a billing issue where a former divorce client filed a complaint to discharge her entire bill. Disputed amount was upheld by Washington State Bar Association. I did not respond "promptly" enough to the former client's demands. I accepted the "friendly reproof" by my licensing agency.”
