Mike Franklin was our representative in a difficult litigation against us. We were being sued by a telephone company, in an attempt to take our land by eminent domain rather than pay fair market rent. Mike represented us for several months as we tried to negotiate with the company, and when finally, there was no compromise, he led us to the courtroom. He advised us that we had a poor chance of prevailing, as the law was on the side of the plaintiff. He prepared for court beautifully, presented our case to the judge in a very strong and clear manner. Because of Mike's research and presentation, the judge was able to discover that indeed, the plaintiff did not need the land for the public good, but that its real intent was to increase its business and profits. The judge denied the plaintiff's plea, and we prevailed. We do believe that this was due wholly to the efforts and expertise of Mike Franklin and his team. We have been exceptionally pleased with Mike Franklin, and with the firm of Lukins and Annis.
