About me

   A Principal of Dunn & Black, P.S., Kevin is a trial attorney whose practice consists of complex civil litigation including condemnation cases, government liability litigation, commercial litigation, trade secret litigation, employment related issues, class actions, and wrongful death. He also represents employers, employees, prime contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers in various types of employment and construction related disputes.  Kevin’s broad experience includes successfully litigating jury trials, trials to the court, administrative hearings, arbitrations and assisting clients in resolving matters through alternative dispute resolution. He has also argued numerous matters before the Washington State Supreme Court, Washington State Court of Appeals and the Oregon State Court of Appeals.  

  Kevin frequently speaks at eminent domain, construction, and employment law seminars.  He is also an Adjunct Professor at Gonzaga University. Originally from Melstone, Montana (and a Montana native) Kevin received his B.A. from Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon and his J.D. from the University Of Idaho College Of Law. Kevin was named a “Rising Star Super Lawyer” by Washington Law and Politics Magazine (2005, 2007, 2008 and 2009); was included in The Best Lawyers in America for Labor and Employment Law (2007,2008); and was identified by Spokane Coeur d’Alene Living Magazine as one of “Spokane’s Best Lawyers” (2008).
