Wendy Ellen Zicht

I have been a lawyer for seventeen years. My practice focuses on family law--primarily divorce, legal separation, and child custody. I represent clients in high conflict litigation as well as in collaborative mediation. Even in litigation, I have found my prior expereince as a social worker and my mediation skills essential in helping clients to handle the stress and to focus on long-term goals. I am a founding member of Collaborative Law Professionals of Pierce County.

I do not see my role as encouraging people to divorce. Many people who contact me want to know their rights and obligations should they separate from their spouse in the future. Therefore, I provide an initial one-hour consulation for $100.00 to provide legal advice on community property law, our court system, the processes of divorce and legal separation, the available options (uncontested, contested-litigated, and contested collaborative), and the like.

For those that contact me who already find themselves separated, or who need help in other areas (custody, parenting plan modifications, child support, contempt, paternity, etc.) I provide a one-hour for $100.00 to explain the law, their options, and help them decide how to proceed.

When I am not busy with clients or other bar association activities, I enjoy time with my husband, my many pets, and my piano.
