Lance did not handle our initial Chapter 13 filing. He inherited our case from our attorney who retired soon after, which means that Lance didn't even get paid to handle our case. We encountered some complications along the way. It was almost like we filed too early because we had issues come up after filing. He's been an extremely patient partner along the way. He's been along side us now for 4 years. He continues to give us great advice and evaluate our options as we navigate to completion. My hope would be that you never have to go through the emotional roller coaster of bankruptcy but if you do you'll need a guy like Lance.
Lance handled my Chap. 7 very professionally and expeditiously. He was always very responsive to each and every one of my concerns throughout the entire process. He's a very thorough individual, who always displayed his extensive knowledge about bankruptcy and his client's emotions in these regards. I'd recommend Lance very strongly to anyone seeking a Bankruptcy Attorney.
Lance has helped us greatly when we filed for Chpt 13 and look forward to refering him to our friends and family.
Bankruptcy can have additional complications when you own your own business. After interviewing many attorneys, most that had retainers considerably higher than Mr. Lee, one of them referred us to an attorney that he believed had the knowledge and experience necessary to walk us through the complications unique to our case: Lance Lee.
From the onset, Mr. Lee clearly explained the issues and requirements. His thorough understanding of bankruptcy law and his ability to listen to our needs gave us immediate peace of mind that we had made the right choice. He left no stone unturned, and had us completely prepared for our filing and hearing. At the hearing, we watched many with attorneys that seemed completely unprepared for some of the questions the trustee asked, and even some that had not prepared proper inventories or had no idea of valuations of important property. However, in our case, we had already covered everything with Mr. Lee, and could answer every question asked by the trustee with clarity and confidence. When we left the hearing, my wife and I said over and over how thankful we were that we had chosen such a thorough, honest, and conscientious attorney. Because our attorney had taken the time to cover so much with us, we never felt exposed, never felt we had been left hanging, and we had many creditors that would have liked to have seen this happen in our case.
If you are fortunate enough to retain Mr. Lee, you will go through one of the most trialsome life experiences with the best ally you could have--someone that absolutely knows the law, someone that is absolutely thorough, someone that will absolutely make sure you are protected.
I have retained attorneys in the past. When I say that this attorney goes the extra mile, it is such an understatement that I am embarrassed to even use the cliche' regarding his services. Lance Lee is the best. Enough said.
We met with Lance Lee several times, but decided we couldn't afford his fees. For a chapter 7 bankruptcy, he charges $1,300--this does not include filing and online class ($70) fees.
However, if the money had been available to us, we would have gladly paid him! He promptly responded to any questions we had and explained every issue in simple terms we could understand. There were never any questions that went unanswered. We never walked away feeling confused or uncertain about the process.
