We hired Patrick to take on a Lawsuit/Dispute case. What we ended up with was no results (a case that has been left hanging) and out $4000 (He tried to get another $2000 out of us) Which we were unwilling to pay as there as been no forward movement in the case since January. At times he seemed either unsure or unwilling to pursue the next step without prompting. We feel the ball got dropped by lack of certainy in some legal areas. We were promised after paying the initial $4000 that he would take the case to trial and he felt the case was strong and that the amount we paid would carry us through to that time. However after the first trial date fell through his communication became little to none, and he demanded more money be paid to him within a week or he would take himself off the case. This was a huge disappointment after all he had said within the last year. When we voiced our disappointment he got angry and said we were questioning his integrity. We feel he "sold" himself to us and that he made promises he could not keep, or did not intend to keep. We understand time equals money, but there is no need to nickel and dime your clients when they have paid, and you haven't yeilded the results you promised. I've worked with attorney's before and never one that I felt needed so much prodding. We were constantly asking what the next step would be and often had to wait weeks for an answer. So what we are left with is an open case, little answers, lots of frustration, and we are out money. All at a very inopportune time in our life.

I asked my son (UW grad) who is a trial attorney here in AZ, if he could recommend a collection attorney in Washington for my cousin. My son called several of his former UW law pal contacts in the SEA area and one name kept coming up: Patrick Burpee. Now we understand why. Patrick is in it to win it. He is the kind of atty who is very competitive and wants to win, and we have been extremely happy with the work he has done for us. We could not have asked for anything better and so we highly recommend this atty. If you've been screwed over by someone, are just plain fed up and you want an atty who's going to go for the jugular, Patrick Burpee's the guy. Only makes sense to go to an atty that other attys recommend and we are glad we did.

Patrick went above and beyond in the services he provided. The end result was exactly as promised. I really could have saved even more heartache if I had contacted him sooner.

I had small claims judgment that a local doctor refused to pay. I attempted to go through the process of wage garnishment / lien attachment etc... and after realizing how complicated the process was after doing some research, I sought found Patrick Burpee through his website, www.fairdebtcollect.com
The process couldn't have been easier, he quickly digested the history and situation of my unpaid small claims judgment, proceeded to make contact and handle all the legal issues to leverage payment in full by this particular doctor. He not only recovered payment of the entire judgment, but all the collection fees and interest that was due to me. In the end, I paid nothing out of pocket and received my rightful payment in full.

Patrick was easy to talk to and understood right away what needed to be done.
He gave me information about the process and possible outcomes that I wouldn’t have thought to even ask about. Collecting on a small claim was a new experience for me and it was a case of ”I didn’t know what I didn’t know”. Patrick was right there with all the information and counsel I needed and made it very clear how we could proceed.
He kept me informed at every step of the way.
Not only did he collect what was owed me but also collected all my legal and filing fees, so I had no out of pocket expenses to get my money.

I received a collection notice that was eight years old that I had when I lived in Washington State. I now live in Alaska and did not know what to do, so I looked up Lawyers, Debt Collections and found Patrick Burpee. I called his office, had to leave my number to call me, which he did within an hour. I told him all the information I had, and he told me of my rights. I sent the information to him and within 45 days every thing was cleared up in my favor. I have the upmost respect for how he handled me and my case.

We sought Patrick's assistance with a "junk debt" collection issue brought by a Seattle Eastside law firm known to represent national debt buyers. Once he gathered our facts, he contacted the "firm" and swiftly resolved the complaint at a fraction of what we could have done privately. His professional fees were very fair and well explained, considering the savings we were able to achieve using his services.

Several years ago I had made the unfortunate decision to make several monetary loans “to a friend”. Fortunately, I had accepted and secured collateral that was offered to cover the funds. It was with great surprise that I found myself in need of legal representation when they attempted to not only regain the property, but default on the loan. They had made multiple false allegations against me and my integrity, which not only caused problems in my marriage, could have caused me the loss of my job. Thanks to Patrick’s legal knowledge, research and tenacity they were “shot down” in record time. If needed, I would not hesitate to use his services, seek legal advice or recommend him to a friend!

We hired Patrick to recover funds from our company's Paypal account. Paypal had proven extremely unreasonable and had locked down our account because the employee that had set up the account was no longer with us. They impounded the funds and told us we could potentially retrieve the money back in 180 days. Patrick was able to resolve the matter/return the money in under 2 weeks at a reasonable rate. We were very pleased. Would highly recommend to other companies.

Our company utilized Burpee Law on a case where a customer was not paying us for product received and it became evident that they were not going to pay us. We came to Attorney Burpee after the fact, and he worked with us to file with the county, serve papers and get a default judgement against the company. This was all very efficient, affordable and professional. Where this attorney went the extra mile was in explaining to us our options, what was happening or was going to happen, and what our options were through the process plus, when it was all said and done, he was able to work with us to create more effective credit checks, signed agreements and personal guarantees with our customers so if this happens again we have not only a stronger leg to stand on, but greater options for recourse. In this era of companies running out of funds, sleezebags looking to make a few extra bucks off of your hard-earned work and efforts, and a shaky economy, we can't afford to spend our time and money on collection. Attorney Burpee could have easily kept us uninformed and unprepared for the next time just get more cases, but he istead advocated for us and helped us be proactive in preventing collections issues in the future.

I had a billing dispute with my credit card company concerning a large charge that I did not make or authorize. My credit card company initially conducted a pretty sloppy investigation, and then informed me that I would be responsible for payment of the credit card charge. Mr. Burpee performed his own legal investigation into the vendor seeking payment and uncovered additional information that showed that I was a fraud victim. Ultimately, my credit card company removed the charge. I am very thankful for his expertise in the field of consumer and credit law.
