I am a consumer bankruptcy and consumer rights attorney. In particular, I represent individuals and families in Chapters 7 and 13 bankruptcies and in adversary proceedings. I also litigate through trial consumer protection matters, including debt collections abuses, foreclosure and mortgage related issues, adverse credit reporting, and other consumer protection violations. Prior to starting my own law firm, I worked at a Seattle bankruptcy boutique, where I headed the consumer litigation practice, and also had the pleasure to serve as Law Clerk to the Honorable Justice Tom Chambers. Also, I co-authored the Washington State Bar Association Civil Procedure Deskbook and a manual for the Washington State Minority and Justice Commission titled Building a Diverse Court: A Guide to Recruitment and Retention, and have presented at various CLEs. In my spare time, I enjoy volunteering for efforts that support the economically and socially vulnerable, including CENTS (the Consumer Education & Training Services) Board and King County Bar Association’s Make Change! program.
