About me

A leading expert in bankruptcy protection, foreclosures, and the mortgage industry, Ms. Latta founded Seattle Debt Law, LLC on the belief that financially troubled individuals deserve fair and honest legal representation in today’s high-risk consumer environment. She is a staunch advocate for clients against predatory lenders and unfair debt collection practices, and takes legal action when violations of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act have occurred. Ms. Latta represents consumer and small business debtors in Chapter 7, 13 and 11 bankruptcy cases, and negotiates customized payment plans with creditors and lenders when the debt negotiation process better serves her clients.

A graduate of Boston College Law School, prior to Seattle Debt Law, LLC, Ms. Latta represented consumer and small business debtors at Crocker Kuno Ostrovsky, PLLC and residential mortgage lenders at Routh Crabtree Olsen, P.S. in bankruptcy cases throughout Washington State. She formerly served as law clerk to the Honorable Whitney Rimel, Bankruptcy Judge for the Eastern District of California.

Ms. Latta was an elected board member of the King County Bar Association’s Young Lawyer Division from 2005-2007 and a member of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys.
