BETH BARRETT BLOOM is a partner with Frank Freed Subit & Thomas LLP where she represents employees in discrimination, harassment, retaliation, civil service, wage, and contract claims. She also provides advice and counsel to non-profit employers, charitable institutions, and unions.
Recent clients have included school employees, maritime employees, police officers, nursing home employees, and transgender employees facing discrimination in the workforce during transition.
Beth's practice approach is emotionally sensitive and solution-oriented. Litigation is always a possibility but may not be the best outcome for some employees who simply need a strong advocate in their corner.
Beth welcomes new clients including labor unions and nonprofit employers seeking practical advice and solutions to real problems.
Beth is a co-founder and past president of QLAW: The GLBT Bar Association of Washington (www.Q-Law.org). She has authored numerous articles concerning sexual orientation and the law as well as diversity in the legal profession. She is a member of the King County Bar Association Board of Trustees.
