Tsinghua University / American Bar Association / Temple University Program -- September 10, 2009 in Beijing

I am co-chairing a program on September 10, 2009 in Beijing, China. The program is the result of a year-long collaboration between the American Bar Association, Tort Trial & Insurance Practice Section, Temple University and Tsinghua University. Tsinghua University is perhaps the most prestigious University in China. We are were very fortunate to be invited to hold our program at such an important venue and I attach the special letter of invitation from the Dean of the Law School. As you can see from the attached program agenda, we've assembled some prominent lawyers from China and the United States to address the many challenges Chinese companies confront when doing business in the U.S.

My law firm is affiliated with Duan & Duan, the first private law firm recognized by the People's Republic of China. The founder and managing partner of Duan & Duan, Charles Duan, will participate in this program and provide a unique and distinct link of access to many U.S. companies with operations in China.

Due to the generosity of our sponsors, we are able to keep registration fees to a very reasonable level:

Students $50 USD; RMB 350*

General Registrants $150 USD; RMB 1000*

Registrants seeking CLE credit $300 USD; RMB 2000*

*RMB costs are approximate due to exchange rates.

If you have any colleagues who may be in Beijing this fall, this program provides a terrific opportunity to network with key leaders in the Chinese and U.S. legal and business communities in China. I would appreciate it if you would share this opportunity with them.
