Joshua M King's Peer Endorsements

Josh works for Avvo, and of course, he is rated as SUPERB (a 10 out of 10) on Avvo's website! Setting aside the inherent conflict of interest in such a process, the ultimate question is whether the public perception of lawyers is enhanced or diminished by this approach. I have worked with Josh trying to resolve a simple matter. He has taken an inflexible, threatening approach in response to my concerns that Avvo allows people to anonymously post false information that can do great damage to a lawyer's repuation. When I asked Avvo to pull my profile, Mr. King referred to boilerplate in Avvo's terms and conditions and told me that they owned it. The last I checked it was illegal to use someone's picture without their permission. It is also unethical to facilitate the publication of false and misleading information whose veracity is not verified beforehand. To Avvo's credit, they did remove the false posting that I was concerned about.

Josh has been Avvo's GC for the last 4 years. When we hired him, I did not envy his position as a GC working for an ex-GC. But Josh came in and was so competent that I was able to transition everything to him almost immediately. The only way I can describe Josh is "grace under pressure." He is consistently the voice of reason at Avvo. Nothing seems to rattle him and his advice is always very practical and well-researched. When he talks, Team Avvo listens.

Joshua provides a great deal of skill and a sophisticated approach to problem solving.
