Jason is an experienced family law attorney and chair of the Family Law Group at Stokes Lawrence. He is an advisor, skilled negotiator, and formidable litigator assisting clients on a wide range of family law matters, particularly in areas involving complex financial, property, and custody issues. Jason’s diverse clientele range from prominent executives, entrepreneurs, business owners, and professionals to elected officials, celebrities, trust beneficiaries, and non-working spouses.
The diversity of Jason’s clientele is matched by the sophistication and intricacy of the issues he handles for his family law clients, including stock and executive compensation plans, asset tracing, trusts, tax, real and commercial property, and business interests, as well as high-conflict child custody and parenting issues.
Jason is a trained litigator; comfortable in trial and frequently appearing in court to advocate for his clients. He is also a no-nonsense client counselor and advisor, providing his clients with candid analysis and strategies for identifying and reaching client goals through negotiation and, when necessary, litigation.
Outside of his litigation work, Jason also works with clients to develop a wide range of relationship agreements, including: prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, cohabitation agreements, and assisted reproduction agreements.
Jason frequently speaks on family law issues, including prenuptial agreements, the Defense of Marriage Act, and the conversion of domestic partnerships to marriage in Washington state.
