About Me

As a trial attorney for more than a decade, Jody K. Reich, a pricipal with Dethlefs Sparwasser Reich Dickerson and Key, PLLC,  has tried and arbitrated hundreds of cases in state and federal courts.  While Jody represents a wide variety of clients, including businesses and injured persons, she dedicates a large part of her practice to protecting victims of serious injury caused by the negligence of others.  She has obtained nearly $1 million in verdicts or settlements on behalf of clients in the last two years alone.  She also enjoys practicing employment law, often drafting employment agreements and non-competes for corporate employees, and has successfully pursued numerous sexual harassment claims for clients in wrongful termination actions.

Prior to her current practice, Ms. Reich was a partner at Betts, Patterson and Mines, a large downtown business firm.  She also served as a law clerk to a Federal Judge for the Eastern District of Washington, Judge Edward F. Shea, and for Judge James M. Murphy, Spokane Superior Court Judge (retired).

Jody is the mother of two young sons, Hunter and Brody, and spends her free time raising her two boys with her husband Steve.  Jody is also an active member in a number of community foundations that provide assistance to disadvantaged children.  She greatly enjoys her work with the Make-a-Wish Foundation as a Wish Granter, making wishes come true for children with difficult medical conditions.
