Roberto Alexandro Lim Yranela

About Me

Roberto Yranela graduated with honors from the University of Washington, Seattle in 2007 with dual majors in Political Science and Psychology. In 2012, he graduated from Valparaiso University School of Law located in Valparaiso, Indiana.

While in law school, Roberto earned top grades in legal writing and research and has served as a legal writing teaching assistant for two years. He became active in the Student Bar Association and was later elected vice president of two prominent student organizations, the Law School Democrats and the Multicultural Law Student Association. At graduation, Roberto was awarded with an Honors Award for achieving a perfect 4.0 grade in Law and Economics and a Pro Bono Award for his many hours of helping to provide legal assistance to disadvantaged individuals.

Roberto has experience working in the field of labor and employment law and has helped to prepare class action law suits in Chicago, Illinois. He has worked as a law clerk for an Indiana State Superior Court judge assigned to the civil division handling contract, tort, and business entities disputes.  Roberto’s first practical exposure to the field of criminal law was when he interned with the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office in Fort Wayne, Indiana where he worked in the Misdemeanor and Traffic Division. Roberto moved back to Washington State where he currently practices as an attorney. Today, Roberto enjoys working in the area of criminal and civil traffic defense and credits his diversity of perspective from his experiences at the prosecutor’s office as well as in other areas of the law.

On a personal note, Roberto was born in Quezon City, Philippines and has lived in Vancouver, B.C., Canada at an early age. He is familiar with the Tagalog (Filipino) language and has some proficiency in French. He likes fast cars, food, movies, and spending time with his family.

Roberto is a very intelligent and thorough attorney. He analyzes criminal cases and traffic tickets more deeply than any other attorney I know. It's due to this that he is always one of the most prepared attorneys for court hearings. I would highly recommend him for criminal defense and traffic tickets because if there is a way to fight them or an argument to be made he will find it. You can't go wrong with an attorney who analyzes and prepares as much as he does.
