About Me 

Trial lawyer since 1994. Practice devoted to criminal defense, including felonies, misdemeanors and major traffic crimes. Specialization in the representation of persons accused of driving under the influence of prescription medications, controlled substances and alcohol (DUI or DUII). Also accepting a limited number of family law cases involving divorce, custody, support and property.

Appointed as attorney member of the Oregon State Bar Disciplinary Board in 2013. Former member, Jackson / Josephine County Local Professional Responsibility Committee. 

Advanced legal education, Mastering Scientific Evidence, New Orleans, 2014. Intensive, specialized police training courses in Philadelphia and Los Angeles, certificates in standardized field sobriety testing and police drug recognition expert protocols. Graduate, summer sessions of the National College for DUI Defense, convening at Harvard Law School in 2011, 2012 and 2013. Continuing legal education at combined conferences of National College for DUI Defense and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, in Las Vegas, Nevada in 2011, 2012 and 2013.

Admitted to practice before United States District Court, District of Oregon, and all state courts in Oregon. Member, Oregon State Bar, National College for DUI Defense, National Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, Oregon Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, Jackson County Bar Association and the American Inns of Court.

Arbitrator appointed by the Oregon State Bar. Certificate in Alternative Dispute Resolution by Willamette University College of Law.
