Harrigan v. Marion County, Oregon

Case Conclusion Date: 09.30.2013

Practice Area: Litigation

Outcome: Defense verdict on all claims

Description: I defended Marion County, Oregon and its deputies in a federal civil trial. A severely autistic plaintiff brought federal civil rights and ADA claims against Marion County and several deputies. The plaintiff was an extremely large young man who had become agressive, assaulting a care worker at his group home. The deputies responded to a 911 call for help from the group home and ultimately subdued the plaintiff by using a bean bag shotgun and a K9, causing injuries to the plaintiff.
