Risa's passion for service began early in life. By the time she was attending Grant High School in NE Portland, Risa was involved in a variety of community groups and school activities focused on alleviating social injustice. However, it wasn’t until she was faced with caring for a relative during a medical crisis that Risa became fully aware of the importance of advocacy. This experience inspired Risa to become an attorney so that she could be an advocate for those in need.
Risa graduated from Lewis & Clark Law School in Portland, Oregon. During her legal education Risa excelled in trial advocacy in both the classroom and the courtroom. Risa won Lewis & Clark’s Moot Court-Mock Trial competition, the Mock Trial Best Oral Advocate award and was invited to serve on the law school’s Moot Court Honor Board. She also logged numerous hours in court while clerking at the Washington County District Attorney’s Office. By the end of law school, Risa had conducted over 120 court hearings and 12 trials.
Throughout her legal studies, Risa remained focused on making a positive contribution to her community. Risa was awarded Lewis & Clark’s Public Interest Law Fellowship and Lewis & Clark’s Pro Bono Honors Award twice. In 2009 Risa was also honored by the Oregon State Bar New Lawyers Division for completing the most pro bono work of any law student in the state of Oregon.
Since her admission to the Bar, Risa has worked in several areas of law including crime victim rights, employment law, family law and criminal defense. Risa is proud to have worked for organizations like the Oregon Crime Victims Law Center and the Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries. In November of 2011, Risa decided she was ready to cultivate her own firm and founded Davis Law Offices LLC.
Davis Law Offices LLC embodies Risa’s values of compassion, integrity, equality and community. She views her relationships with clients as partnerships and offers realistic advice while vigorously protecting clients’ interests both in and out of the courtroom. In addition, Risa continues to contribute to her community by providing pro bono legal services and volunteering with a variety of local organizations.
When away from the office, Risa enjoys time with her family and friends. She loves exploring all that Portland has to offer, but when the weather gets wet, you can find Risa inside cheering on the Trail Blazers or watching one of her favorite professional football teams. Risa travels as much as possible and is always looking for an adventure.

Risa is a brilliant, knowledgeable, and tireless advocate. I have seen her in the courtroom, which is to say that I have seen her in her element. From what I have seen of Risa's talents and abilities, I would recommend her to anyone who is looking for an attorney who confronts challenges with zeal and enthusiasm.
