I was referred to this lawyer by the bar association referral service. I called him and left a voicemail 1 or 2 days following the granting of a temporary stalking order of protection... Left another message a couple days later... I began searching for an attorney elsewhere as I was due back in court within about 3 weeks. I found this site and I contacted several attorneys by email including Mr. Lorey, most with high ratings by your sites method of evaluation. I recieved responses from all but 1. The first email I recieved was within the hour, after 10pm! He was very helpful and agreed to meet me the next day for a consultation. By about 6pm the following evening all had contacted me to make an appointment or to express that they didn't practice family law, (only one). Mr. Lorey did send me a response, later that night, and began his email by telling me WHEN I was to make an appointment, told me times HE preferred, and was generally impolite and assuming, afterall, I hadn't yet decided to retain his services. His email seemed quite bossy and impatient and a little abrasive for my taste, however that may be just what another person would like or prefer for their situation. Just not my preference for this situation. Overall I was not interested in continuing dialogue with him, however he may be quite helpful for others who prefer his approach. I declined his "invitation" for a meeting. However, I did find a good fit with a different attorney through Avvo online services, the one who responded so quickly, and was more than satisfied and respectivly acomadated by his advice and will happily retain his services again and redily recomend him and Avvo to my family and friends and the many customers that ride my bus daily, (about 400 to 700).
My advice would be to look at the rating numbers. My guy is a 10.0 Excellent!
I Will leave a review on his profile page.
Sincerely, A happy client and customer of Avvo.
