About me

Initial consultations are always free, and if you are local (or at least fairly local) to the Portland area, I am happy to come to you. I enjoy seeing where the creativity takes place and getting a good sense of my clients’ businesses beyond just their intellectual property. That said, we represent clients from around the country, some of which we have never met in person, and we like to think we know them pretty well, regardless.

Have a question about intellectual property law? Give me a call or message me. I am always happy to engage in discussions about intellectual property. It is very important that our clients understand intellectual property and where our advice is coming from, so that they are the ones making the business decisions.

I enjoy working closely with clients and really feeling like a member of a team. My easy-going attitude together with my technical aptitude and legal expertise enable me to provide quality intellectual property counsel on multiple levels—from simple advice to complex portfolio strategy. I take pride in my work and especially enjoy coming up with creative ways of claiming inventions that will provide broad protection for my clients. I also enjoy advising clients on the selection and use of trademarks, as I recognize the importance of strong branding in today’s marketplace.

I am a member of both the Oregon and California State Bars, and I am a registered patent attorney with the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
