Mr. Meyers helped my wife and me end our lease with a property management company due to mold issues on the premise. I have never sought legal advice prior to this experience. This was such a positive experience for the two of us. Pete was promopt and professional at all times. He even helped me to keep my cool when I became frustrated with the property management company. Pete also was honest with us and gave us realistic expectations for the outcome of our situation, which ended on a positive note.
Pete Meyers helped me negotiate out of a lease where the building had mold issues. Pete is efficient with his words and his efforts which saved me money. I ended up getting a better than hoped for settlement and will be moving into a healthy environment. Thanks, Pete!
I went to Pete Meyers to resolve an HOA dispute over money my HOA said I owed, which I did not believe was owed. Mr Meyer explained all my options and kept me very well informed of where the case was going at all stages of the procedure. The case ended being settled out of court with me not owing any money to the HOA and all my attorneys fees being compensated by the HOA. I am very happy with the results and with the way Mr Meyers handled the entire case. I would highly recommend Mr Meyer and would use his services again if the need ever arose.
We worked with Pete regarding an issue with our rental agreement. Our landlord was being unfair with some changes to the lease after we had moved in. We worked with him to help understand our options for getting out of our lease and he was extremely knowledgeable, approachable, and helpful. He communicated with us at all steps of the process and helped us resolve the issue amicably and in our best interest. I would recommend him to any of my friends, co-workers or family.
As a fairly new landlord with little experience I was anxious handling the legal matters of a tenant eviction on my own. I was refered to Pete by my employer and after our first phone conversation felt very comfortable working with him further. During our appointment I discussed my the need to have a tenent removed and in less than an hour Pete drafted a letter for termination of lease for failure to pay rent. Working with Pete was a great experience. He is quick, thorough and professional and successfully helped me meet my goal. If needed I would definitely work with him again.
Anyone in or has been in litigation knows how your nerves get, and as you work your case , the matter of being focused becomes total. Your nerves know that--which is why a cool head and a practical plan are still in business. I was fortunate to have Pete for a lawyer and he won for us.
Pete Meyers helped my wife and I with a tricky situation in the closing hours of a home purchase. His advice helped us purchase the home and receive some damages from the seller.
Pete was super helpful - he had me in for a consultation within 12 hours of calling. He listened to my story, even if it was long and rambling, and made me feel like I had an ally if I needed it. The consultation was enough for us to determine that we didn't need to keep working together, but his advice during the consult proved invaluable and I was able to secure my entire settlement amount. I like that he equipped me with confidence to take action on my own - now that's a good lawyer!
I had a particularly complex situation in the mobile home park where I owned a manufactured home. Within just a day or two after meeting with him, Pete sent a demand letter to the landlord. I think it was his detailed knowledge of the law and his quick absorption of my complicated rental agreement and park rules that made the landlord back down--she wasn't aware of the "alternative dispute resolution" provision she had drafted into her own rental agreement! Pete took advantage of that to our advantage and I was delighted when the landlord withdrew her 30-day for-cause termination notice. It was a pleasure working with him.
I'm so pleased with Pete's work on my case, I will simply copy a thank you letter I sent to him:
Just wanted to send a letter thanking you for the great work you did on my case. When I first spoke with you and we discussed settlement terms with my property management company, I was very concerned about the amount of time I would have to move out and find a new place to live. We discussed that 30 days would likely be the longest period my property management company would accept, so I was preparing for something possibly even shorter. I can't tell you how thrilled I was when you got back to me the next day, saying you were able to get me 60 days to move. It was far more than expected and I won't hesitate to recommend you to anyone needing an attorney in the areas of law you practice. Thank you again for your great work, professionalism, quick responses to my questions and kind manner. Your help made a difficult experience in my life much easier to manage.
