When I became a lawyer in the 1970s many of us did so because we saw law as a helping profession. While some more recently went to law school as an investment, to make a lot of money, that is not me, nor is it many of us--despite the lawyer jokes.you see, or the public officials who are lawyers who get carted off to jail because they forgot that it is a calling.
A lot of what I learned about business came from a hiatus I took from law in the 1990s and early this century, running a non-law business (as an IT professional) that helped other small businesses. I have also devoted personal time to volunteering as a leader of various neighborhood and homeowners associations, the largest serving some 100,000 residents.
Give me a call and we'll see together whether I can help you.
