My first 16 years of practicing were spent at large insurance defense firms, working for the biggest insurance companies in California. I eventually became the managing partner of a firm with 7 offices in California and 55 attorneys. We defended trucking companies, doctors, hospitals and just about every kind of person or entity that was insured and got sued.
In 2002 I switched sides and since then have only represented people injured in accidents or by medical malpractice. Knowing how insurance companies (and their lawyers) think gives me, and my clients, a definite advantage.
Our firm is small and handles cases, whether large or small, like we would like our own matters handled.

I enthusiastically endorse Thomas McDonald on serious personal injury and medical malpractice cases. Tom is a tireless and passionate advocate on behalf of his clients and uniformly obtains significant results and compensation on his cases.

Relationship: Worked together on matter
Even though I work in the same area of practice in the local community wanted to provide an endorsement for Mr. McDonnell. I have known Tom for about 15 years, having had a case with Tom when we were both defense lawyers. Tom is a lawyer of high character and integrity, with the practitioner skills and knowledge to match. Would heartily recommend my colleague to anyone looking for an ethical, practical and effective counsel.
Relationship: Fellow lawyer in community
