Ms Rickard represented my 19-year old son for a minor in possession case. She was very professional, honest and knowledgeable while handling the case. Kept us informed of hearings, updates from the hearings and judges decisions. Both my son and I found Ms Rickard very trustworthy and felt she was always keeping my son's best interest foremost when managing the case. When I needed council, I tried the usual search tools to find the best, most trustworthy and cost-effective lawyer I could find. From the short list, I chose Stephanie Rickard and it was one of the best decisions I made. From the start she treated me with interest, patience and respect. She charged a flat rate for the entire process and every commitment she made was delivered as promised. At every step of the trial, she was organized, efficient and her decisions, resulted in best outcome I could have hoped for. If you are looking for someone who knows the system, will actually do all the hard work, and attend to all the details, Ms. Rickard is someone to call if you are ever in trouble.

Good knowledge of the law at a very good fee rate compared to shopping 5 other lawyers prior to hiring Stephanie. Seemed to be always accessable when needed and usually got back in a timly fashion. Knows how to work within the system although the system seems to be broken at times.

When I went In to see Stephanie, I could tell just by stepping into her office that she was very professional. She was very knowledgeable, and told me the least legal actions the court would take, as well as the extremes they could take. I felt prepared as she is very detail oriented. She made me feel comfortable, and let me know that she would do her very best. Not only did she win my case, she put me at ease the whole way through. I would not recommend anyone else to represent myself, friends or family besides Stephanie rickard!

From the minute I walked into her office, I felt her compassion and attentiveness to details. She listened earnestly and provided valuable input. I knew minutes into our conversation, she would represent me.

Just to be sure I wasn't acting hastily, I went to see one other attorney; The difference was like night and day. I felt rushed and even on the defensive with this other attorney (whom I won't name personally). Needless to say, I made my decision as soon as I stepped out of that stuffy office.

Stephanie Rickard is by far the best attorney I have hired. I have dealt with a few attorneys in the past and she is by far the most responsive. Going through any legal case, it is hardest not knowing what is going on and Stephanie does a great job at keeping you informed. I received my DUI about 6 months ago and had many consultations. All of the attorneys seemed to give a lot of the same information but none seemed as concerned and helpful as Stephanie. I had a few possible outcomes in my case and Stephanie was able to get my charge reduced to a wet and reckless (my best possible outcome). This did not come easy, Stephanie made sure to explore all defense possibilities and did not push me to settle quickly when the outcome did not seem possible. My situation was unique in that I received my DUI in Santa Clara country but work a ways away. Stephanie made it so easy for me to remain where I work and not have to return to the area every time there was a new development in my case. Here is what my observation of Stephanie and why she can achieve:
1. Stephanie is not a non-sense person. She is a very frank person and always get the point. She will not waste her time. When she tells you what she can do, I feel very comfortable with her. If any significant thing happen, she will update you right away and tell you to do as soon as possible. If she does not contact you, that means everything is well taken care of, no need to worry.
2. Stephanie is very competent and proactive. She spent most of her time up front and preparing work. She deals with DA at the earliest time and set the tone for the whole process. Because of this, she can handle the case very effectively. Way before the first court appearance, she pretty much already finishs the case and the final thing you are waiting for is the paper work.
3. Stephanie is very good at the critical thinking and very creative. She can find out some bargain that does not looks so obvious to benifit her client. She created her point to convince the DA and to achive the best results for her client.
4. It seems to me that Stephanie does has the talent in what she is doing. It almost looks like no effort but the best result.
5. Because Stephanie can effectly solve her cases, the fee she charged is quite low compare to the other firm which I can not believe. Some firm will charge a flat fee which includes trial. For us, the trial fee and regular fee is seperated. If your case will not go to trial, the the fee is low. If it really needs to go to the trial, we need to make sure she will do all the work and hence should pay her and motivate the best job.

We are definitely very happy with Stephanie and feel very lucy we were in the best hand. I can not imagine if our case were in some less competent lawyer's hand. The hardest part of deal with lawyer is to find the right person. I hope that Stephanie can help more pepole who really need help.
