I have been providing legal services in Santa Clara and Santa Cruz Counties continuously since 1975.
I have an undergraduate degree in accounting from Indiana State University, and a Juris Doctor degree from Indiana University, where I graduated cum laude and won honors in the areas of income taxation and estate and gift taxation. I graduated from law school in 1973. I was a member of the legal fraternity of Phi Delta Phi and president of the local chapter at Indiana University Law School in 1972-73. In law school I was a recipient of the Dean Faust Award and received awards and honors in income taxation and estate and gift taxation.
I was previously licensed as a Certified Public Accountant. I served as an intern at Price Waterhouse & Company, on the audit staff of Peat, Marwick Mitchell & Company, and with the tax staff of Arthur Andersen & Company. I have also been an instructor for the Becker CPA Review Course. Although I have an extensive background in accounting, I retired my license to practice as a CPA to devote my time and energy entirely to the practice of law, specializing in estate planning, trusts, Medi-Cal planning, and probate.
I have served as president of the Santa Clara County Easter Seal Society for one year and on its board of directors for five years. I was also a member of the Order of Saint John, Queen’s Club, Letterman’s Club, and Elk’s Club.
