Miller Washington & Kim, LLP, is a general plaintiff's civil litigation firm primarily focusing on personal injury and special education law. The firm changed its name and formed an LLP in 2012, but its predecessor, led by Tom Miller, was established in 1989.
Our personal injury practice spans from minor claims to wrongful deaths. Most cases are accepted on a contingency basis.
For special education law, our attorneys represent parents and students with special needs against public school districts to obtain a FAPE under the IDEA and applicable California law. We do not provide help with compliance complaints. The majority of the due process complaints we have filed have led to an amicable settlement with the parents' desired outcomes. All cases are accepted on a contingency basis for attorney's fees. Costs of litigation, if a matter proceeds to an administrative hearing, are determined on a case-by-case basis.
