About me

The Law Office of David Reagan provides services for criminal defense, criminal appeals, and clean criminal records.  Clients are our number one priority, and we fight hard for a succeful resolution of every case.

David Reagan was born and raised in Los Gatos, California.  He graduated from the University of Colorado, Boulder, and attended Santa Clara University Law School.  In law school, he found his true calling as an advocate for the under-served and under-represented individuals in society, assisting immigrants in workers rights cases and adjustment of status at the Katharine and George Alexander Community Law Center and working at the Santa Cruz and Santa Clara County Public Defender offices.  Upon graduating, Mr. Reagan obtained a Certificate in Public Interest and Social Justice Law by participating in a community service project in New Orleans and a human rights immersion program in El Salvador.

Beyond advocating for marginalized members of society in law school, he also fine-tuned the legal skills that would come to serve him well in his future endeavors.  Beginning in the first year of law school, he won the Galloway Criminal Law Moot Court Competition.  The next year, he won the prestigious Honors Moot Court Internal Competition, overcoming 26 teams of fellow law students.  Due to his victory in the Honors Moot Court Internal Competition, he was sent to Oxford, England, to train with an Oxford professor on how to argue a case in the English style.  At the culmination of this training, Mr. Reagan argued a moot court case against a team of English law students with English judges presiding, and won.  He continued his passion by participating in the New York National Moot Court Competition and he was a board member of the Galloway and Honors Moot Court Boards.

After graduating in the top percentage of his class, Mr. Reagan moved to Guadalajara, Mexico, to study Spanish in an intensive language school.  Due to his passion for Latin culture and desire to learn how to communicate with his clients in their own language, he has had a great deal of success in learning Spanish, although he is dedicated to constantly improving his knowledge and fluency.

Mr. Reagan has applied the skills he learned in law school, and while practicing prison law, criminal law, and appellate law at top law firms, to become a formidable opponent in any legal action.  Few lawyers have conducted a criminal trial, an administrative law trial, argued in the California Court of Appeal, argued in the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals (published decision United States v. Suarez (2012)), and prepared a writ of certiorari for the United States Supreme Court.  Through these experiences, and his experiences in travel and working with life term prisoners, he has gained a knowledge, compassion, and understanding that helps him work on difficult cases with clients who are facing serious consequences.  That knowledge, compassion, and understanding is conveyed to the judge and opposing parties, and delivers results that assist clients in overcoming serious hurdles in their lives.
