I have been a lawyer for 43 years. I have been in court in each of those 43 years dealing with a myriad of disputes. Most of my work is done as a lawyer, but a lot of what I do lately is as a mediator. I see disputes from many different angles. I like to help people resolve disputes, and I find that experience does help in getting to the point of resolution.
Most of what I have done in the past 30 years involves construction law, real estate law, business and contract law and probate. The basic issues of life arise in these fields of law. I have clients who have been clients and friends for over 30 years. I have clients I have known for just a few months.
I am no different from most of my clients. I am a father, husband, grandfather and family man. I enjoy playing golf with friends, and I enjoy traveling and seeing new places. I enjoy a lot of things in life, but the greatest joy comes from the relief shown in the eyes of a person when a dispute gets to closure. Because that is what this life path thing is all about, closure, not the battle.
