From the San Francisco Giants to the San Jose Sharks and all the teams in between, I am a fan. The fact is I am a Bay Area native through and through. With the exception of few years spent in New York, New Jersey and Boston, I have lived here my entire life. I grew up in Fremont, attended high school at Moreau Catholic High School in Hayward. In 2003, I obtained my Bachelor’s Degree in Spanish Language and Literature from San Francisco State University. After obtaining my Bachelor’s I moved to the east coast for two and a half years to work in Corporate America. While I loved my life experiences on the east coast, I knew that California, specifically the Bay Area, was my home and I relocated my job back to San Francisco in early 2006.
It was upon my return that I started my Masters Degree in Business Administration. I was on the fast track with a Fortune 50 company. While I was working toward my MBA, my father was diagnosed with colon cancer, and my cousin–less than 10 years older than I–was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. It was then that I realized how short life is, so I followed my passion to do what I had always been in the back of my head and I went to law school. I finished my MBA on a Thursday in late August of 2008 and started law school the following Monday.
In law school, I worked a variety of internships, including one with a small criminal defense firm and a few semesters at the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office. Then I laid the foundation for my practice while working for two different firms before starting my own.
I now take pride in practicing those areas of the law where I can support and help advocate for those who are facing, what may possibly be, the most stressful period of their life.
