i agree that you should attempt to cooperate with your attorney to avoid the sense of conflict when you go to trial. You need to schedule a meeting with him and emphasize that you need to be kept informed about the case and you are ready to go over the testimony to be given by you in court.
Changing at this point is not a good idea, unless it becomes impossible to work with him. At that point, you need to have an attorney to assist you by filing a motion to substitute counsel and a motion for a continuance with the court.

She was born 11/27/15. We want to create a will, trust or estate plan that ensures she is the beneficiary of our assets should we die early. We just heard it takes several weeks to get a SS # from the SS admin office. How do we proceed?
As the other attorneys explained, you don't need an SSN.
What you do need is to think about who will manage your child's inheritance in the unlikely event both parents die before she is 18. With a trust, you can appoint someone to do that.
Essentially, you need to do some basic estate planning.See question
when a person is receiving payments from an annuity due to a settlement and the payments end, does that mean the confidentiality of the settlement ends or does the confidentiality of both or just one last forever?
First, you must realize that any posts here are meant for general information only and this forum is not designed to create attorney-client privilege, without which any advice is more or less meaningless as it will also be discoverable in civil action.
If the terms do not specify a termination date, then a reasonable time may apply. However, say you believe that a reasonable time has passed and decide to intentionally break confidentiality. You may be subjecting yourself to a defamation suit. Furthermore, if a settlement had been reached and payment is being made in good faith and in exchange the other party is no longer pursuing action, why would you want to poke the bear?
If you enjoy living in the past, hashing up old news and creating drama where none exists, us attorneys love taking your retainers.

i need some of my money because i want to get my teeth straightened up and fixed and get my own place
Yes. You will need to demonstrate to a court of competent jurisdiction that you have a financial hardship and that liquidating your structured settlement is not a disasterously bad idea...which it probably is. I would proceed with great caution here.See question
My husband got a letter in the mail stating that he received 4 points for failure to provide proof of insurance. He hasn't been pulled over and hasn't received a ticket for this. He also has current insurance that we pay a lot of money for. How do...
He needs to contact the Department of Revenue (573-751-4600). He should get to an operator to find out which jurisdiction sent in the points. Then, he needs to contact the clerk in that jurisdiction to determine why they sent in the points. I suppose it is possible that someone in the process keyed the wrong license number. Hopefully once he explains the story, the clerk can tell him the circumstances of how/why the points assessed against his license.See question

One of you need to file a motion to modify and then just both sign an agreed order lowering or stopping child support and get the judge to sign. Should be attorneys willing to do it for minimum fees, plus any filing fee.See question
What are the current Fees for L 1
Well... the short answer, it depends. it depends on the geographic area, and the specific lawyer. One thing is clear, it is free for you if you are an employee.See question
What are the current Fees for L 1
Attorney fees vary. I would call 2-3 immigration attorneys and get an idea on cost. My colleague has provided the link for the filing fee. Good luck here.See question

She can take it out of the trust and gift it to you now. Under this option, you carry her tax basis, and if you sell it, you will have to pay taxes on all of accumulated gains. In addition, she needs to file a gift tax return for the fair market value (FMV) of the property. She can set it aside in the current trust for you only, and want it to be especially distributed to you upon her death. Then, if you sell the property, you won’t have to pay taxes on her gains through the time of her death, because the basis would be stepped-up to the FMV at death. Consult an estate planning lawyer, you may explore other options. The information presented herein is for general purposes only.
