I hired Richard Dwyer to handle my BK to stop the foreclosure of my house and reorganize a debt that was in dispute. However, his firm did not comply with an order of the Court to file the required Chapter 13 Plan and unbeknownst to me the BK case was dismissed and then my house foreclosed. It took me great effort, expense and personal stress to recover my house. His firm promised that they would help me but I never got any assistance to deal with the foreclosure and quite to the contrary I was badly mistreated by one of his people. I went through a lot of expense and Richard Dwyer would not take responsibility for his negligent handling of the case.

It's worth noting to anybody seeking Bankruptcy representation that Mr. Dwyer is currently subject to a bench warrant for failure to appear at a hearing in the Central District of California, in connection with a bankruptcy malpractice action. He is also up for disciplinary actions in that same district, and has been forbidden by the Northern district of California from filing bankruptcies. I'd highly recommend seeking "real" representation if you are looking for a bankruptcy attorney.

I am grateful for the representation and knowledgable response to requirements for Bankruptcy matters. I am a Senior Citizen and am Disabled. My participation was made possible by very sensitive staff members under Mr. Dwyer's umbrella. Thank You

I was totally clueless on what to do and how to do it . Mr Dwyer made my divorce much better than I had imagined. He advised me of
All my options and explained why things were in my best interest. Very open to listen to me and my concerns, remembered important details. Any questions I had he answered at anytime. He valued my time as well.

Have worked with Dywer since 2004 on four cases that have been settled and one current. Type of cases varied and we were able to use one attorney for all because of his expertise.

I tried about 20 lawyers for my contract breach case, as well as my contract drafting needs.
The thing about choosing a lawyer, which I hate, is I always feel like I am wasting their time, and that they will charge me an enormous fee to do something really simple for them.
Richard had performed a highly detailed legal analysis of my case, even bringing in a colleague to look at it....without charging me a single penny. He called and spent a half hour on the phone with me explaining everything...and this was all from an email I sent him. He didn't charge me a dime.
Later I asked him to draft my contract, and he plainly told me it would only take an hour. He gives you the out-the-door costs right away and does not try to charge you extra.
He is also much more informed than a number of attorney's and he VICIOUSLY protects your best interests. This guy will not let anyone trample on you. Once you work with him, you are completely protected.
