Melissa McDonald, a native of Fresno and graduate of Kerman High School, received her bachelor’s degree from UC Santa Cruz where she majored in Political Science. She graduated from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles and is a member of the California Bar. Shortly after law school, Ms. McDonald moved to New York where she attended an LL.M. program at Touro Law School and won the CALI award for academic excellence in Drafting Commercial Documents. While in New York, she worked as a financial consultant and obtained her Series 7, Series 66, and Insurance licenses. She also passed the New York bar exam and has prior bankruptcy experience from working for one of the largest consumer bankruptcy firms in California. In addition to her practice, she also teaches bankruptcy law through the paralegal program at Fresno City College.
Ms. McDonald is an avid reader and enjoys learning. She also loves animals and volunteers at a local rescue animal shelter.
