Hire an attorney who is practices regularly in the court where your case is filed and have that lawyer go back to court for you to clean up your case and recall the warrant. This will be the best way for you to avoid getting arrested and jailed.

The glasses are the least of it. You need to find a good DUI lawyer in the Bay Area and consult with that lawyer. I can think of at least 10 in that area that you would be well represented by. They are all listed on AVVO. The facts you related on this board will serve you well in fighting this case. I could win it for you, but would have to charge you more than the lawyers who are already in the area where you go to court.

You should NOT discuss your case with anyone but YOUR attorney, and certainly not on a public forum published on the internet. You could be giving up your attorney client privilages. If for some reason you are not happy with your court appointed lawyer, then you should go in person and interview with potential private attorney in your geographic area who handles criminal matters.

Prospective employers cannot ask about arrests, only convictions. You do not need to disclose an arrest of a matter that was dismissed. You should consider making a motion to seal the record and/or for a determination of factual innosence

Since your transaction will take place in India, it will be governed by the laws of that Country. As such, you should consult with a licensed Real Estate Attorney in India, not the United States.

Get permission in writing first in order to avoid any possibility of being sued. That being said, it is somewhat unlikely you would be the subject of any legal action.

Of Course you can use an abreviation. These are commonly called 'nicknames'. No law mandates that you institute a Petition for a legal name change prior to or during such usage.
