Cheri L. Kurman is certified by the State
Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization as a Certified Specialist in
Estate Planning, Probate and Trust Law. Cheri's practice emphasizes Estate
Planning, Probate, Estate Administration, Conservatorship Law and Special Needs


Cheri earned her Bachelor of Arts in Music from University of California,
Santa Cruz and her Juris Doctorate from the Ventura College of Law, graduating
with second in her class with honors. Cheri was admitted to the California
State Bar on June 2, 2001. During law school, Cheri was awarded the American
Jurisprudence Award in several classes, including Wills and Trusts, Contracts,
and Legal Writing. Cheri also won the Moot Court competition at Ventura College
of Law in 1999. Prior to law school, Cheri worked closely with clients as an
estate planning paralegal, having earned her paralegal certificate from the
Attorney Assistant Training Program at University of California, Los Angeles, in 1992.


One of only four women in Ventura County who are certified Estate Planning
specialists, Cheri brings the highest professional standards and deep human
compassion to her clients.


Cheri is an active leader of the Ventura County Bar Association, and currently
sits on the Advisory Council for the Adult Day Care and Family Services through
the Camarillo Health Care District.
