Robert Hafen Briggs

I am a partner at Booth, Mitchel & Strange handling civil litigation with jury trial experience.

• More than thirty years of experience in civil litigation and civil trials. 

• Favorable results in a three-month jury trial defending a building contractor in a San Bernardino County court. Plaintiffs recovered a verdict, but it was less than 1/10th of what they requested.

• Another favorable jury trial result in a four-month civil trial defending the surety for an electrical contractor in the Los Angeles Central District court.

• Many other trials, arbitrations and mediations of complex civil litigation. 

I am also a board member of various 503c non-profit organizations. 

I have an abiding interest in the history of the American West and some of my articles and book reviews have appeared in various historical and scholarly journals. In connection with that I presented the 2002 Juanita Brooks Lecture and the 2004 Critchlow Lecture. I received the 2006 Dale L. Morgan Award for best scholarly article.

My wife, Linda, and I are the parents of four grown children with grandchildren on the way. We have lived in Fullerton for more than 30 years and are active in our community and church.
